There is no thrill like watching your horse charge towards the finish
line, as you cheer his/her effort. When your horse crosses the line first the
felling is indescribable. It is a moment that you must experience to believe.
While Thoroughbred racehorse ownership is a risky financial endeavor (and don't
let anyone tell you otherwise), the experience is exhilarating and rewarding.
Forget playing slot machines-the horses are much more exciting and not as
expensive as you might think.
I am often asked, "Why should I invest in a
Racing Partnership"? The answer is for the fun, thrill and excitement. As
an owner, you will have access to areas that are off limits to the general
public such as the paddock to watch your horse get saddled and the backstretch
to watch morning workouts.
Benefits of Thoroughbred Ownership:
- Free preferred admission and parking at NYRA tracks and access to restaurants
- Access to the backstretch and barn areas for you and your friends to watch
morning workouts
- Ability to take friends and family along to the Paddock when your horse is
saddled for a race
- Have your picture taken in the Winner's Circle along with other partners when your horse wins
- Ability to meet with the trainer to discuss training and race plans
- Access to the barn area to visit your horse and maybe feed him a couple of carrots
- Weekly email providing information on how your horse is doing and race plans
- Invitation for your family to attend the annual Pucker Ridge Farm BBQ
- Partners will receive Quarterly Accounting of bills and earnings
- Pucker Ridge Racing does NOT collect any management fees or withhold any earnings as compensation prior to distributing earnings. Pucker
Ridge Racing receives the same distribution as partners based upon percentage
owned.
- As an LLC, partners will receive a K-1 tax form from our Accounting firm so that your Accountant may apply appropriately (in many instances, your
Accountant may determine that any losses maybe tax deductible. Please check with your Accountant for details).
- Most importantly, you will have the opportunity for the experience of a lifetime.
